one project done!

surprisingly, the garage door opener is a quick project for mommy ... except breaking one light bulb that fell off the opener ;)

did a lot of research and know what mommy has found out? the opener could be older than her! it's proably one of those manufactured in 1975!!! can you imagine it's still working while mommy's body is falling apart already ;) Anyway - after a lot of research, figured out how to program this opener, and (luckily) got a remote from sears that "says" will not work with this model, yet does :P

grandpa will be happy :D

ok... next project - shop for the shower door this weekend :D

arrived safely to winnipeg

grandpa sounded so excited when he called back - he always loves winnipeg, and the family of auntie monita :D

while grandparents are gone for 17 days - parents are all by themselves in their new house - pretty interesting feeling. dad seems to be able to relax a bit more - and mom felt especially quiet at night by herself when dad stays at work late.... :P

mom is having this plan of giving grandpa a surprise on their return - hope to get the garage-door opener and shower door done in these coming 2 weeks. Need to go compare prices at sears, home depot and lowes... Hopefully grandpa will be happy when he returns and sees it ....

missing her

while mom was having coffee with grandparents at starbucks.... grandpa said "this time last year...... it was the sad time" Hmm... quickly, mom had tears in her eyes when she heard this.

the family is still in this sad mood becuz we all missed her very much...

auntie jenny getting married end of the year stirred up more emotions - grandpa said, "it'll be so much more better if brenda is here with us on jenny's wedding date"

saw mom's car!!!

while taking a relaxing walk at Alki .... dad and mom saw a white impreza across the street... and then, mom was just joking - "see, that's my car" ... and when the car made a turn, mom realized the anti-static antenna and other stuffs that she had on her car -- that's REALLY her car! It was exciting for the first time to see it again after selling it for few months...

hope the new owner loves the car as much as she does...

her corner is set up

it's always been mom's wish to set up this corner for auntie brenda... took mom a long time of searching to finally get a table nice for the corner... and the flower arrangements....

thanks daddy for helping out.... it meant a lot to mom...

Bellevue police are looking for a suspected burglar today after the man and an accomplice drove a stolen car through a chain-link fence and park to elude police.

The man and woman drove the car through the fence at a self-storage business near 164th Avenue Northeast and Northeast Ninth Street just before noon, said Bellevue police spokesman Michael Chiu. They then drove through Crossroads Park and into a residential neighborhood, police said. The two suspects then ditched their car and ran off, Chiu said.

Police caught the woman and she was arrested, but the man is still at large, Chiu said.

yea... grandparents were at the park when that thieves drove the stolen car through it. grandma said suddenly, saw a car driving up the park's slope .... wow... and cop's car coming from *every* where like you'd imagine in a movie...

lucky the driver didn't go to crazy to hit anyone in the park.... Thank God...

and the cop asked if grandma saw the thief .... how cool.

so where's grandpa at that moment? running in the park :P

heard u r sick...

mommy too... got 101.1 degree on friday. threw up whenever taking solid food, so mommy was just surviving on swanson's chicken soup for the last 3 days. last nite was worse, becuz she had to sit up to sleep or else, she felt like throwing up ...

when will that end?

mom is angry... upset... discouraged...

becuz all of a sudden...

grandparents are whining that another friend's mom get to travel once she came to US... and they didn't have that chance (oh well...but aren't they going to winnipeg in another 20 days???) ...

and ... then, complain the house is not theirs.... not under their name (would that be too much to ask for ... ???)

and complain this and that....

mom is really sad about this.... if not for them, she won't get the house all of a sudden.... if not for them, she won't insist that location with flat ground, park, shops nearby.... which costs more

and what does she get in return? More requests - first, grandpa keeps saying life is still not fully perfect becuz he doesn't have his own car now... and then, now... a house ? would it be too much?

coughing.... fever.... sore throat.... :(

a tiring weekend...

mom went to the new castle beach park with a lot of other couples for bbq/game. it was very sunny, and mom got tanned. it's been a long time since she played vball too -

and after all the exercise, mom put up a shelves in the dining room. it's very pretty.... she thinks ;)

and sunday is another work-day. she was very glad to see ACE at church... thought she won't have that chance before they moved down to portland... will surely miss them. after that, mom was trying to be a nice-wife, so she got breakfast from china town, and "flew" back home to feed daddy :P

then.. it's some house work - converted the house light to motion-detected one. then.. pull down the blind in the bedroom, and installed another new set -- it's pretty...

then... unpack all the decorations - so living room and dining room is now full of hello kitties, swarovskies, wedding favors, pictures, blah blah blah....

it feels more and more home...

back pain

with the previous car accident, mom's back hurt easily whenever she move stuffs ... and these few days, it's getting worse because of all the unpacking, moving....
