no more 18 years

the last time i met Linus (my cousin) was 18 years ago... when he was only 3, 4 years old. it turned out to be pretty good for this get-together after 18 years, when he flew to seattle for an interview. The funny thing is, he has to send me pictures because we really have no memory of each other.

the good news is - at least we do not need to wait for another 18 years before we meet again - he got an offer from MS so he probably will be moving from Toronto in summer after finishing up his school ...

oh... and one important lesson that i learned from Linus - it's the patience while talking to parents. His patience is amazing and that reminded me to have to do the same - so, after sending him off at the airport, i called my parents and listened patiently ... without any complaints - One of my new year resolution !!!

new year new resolution ... new blog

no more blog from little octopus ... but buN! instead :D

anyway.. back to seattle.

staying in hong kong for a month this time is pretty different from the last N trips i made back home. 1 month - so long that i really did get a lot of sleeps, rest, exercise ......

did not intend to see a lot of friends - met only those worth meeting. no more socialize.... felt pretty good about it.... except.... i wanted to meet a good friend one more time, but only got to call her from airport ... because the last week in hong kong was so packed :(

the most memorable part of the trip was to spend that 1 month so close with jen & terry. have never been so close to my sister for so many years - and this time, it was very very very good. and I'm glad alex and terry got along very well too, so the 4-ppl gathering is always enjoyable. that, definitely is one of the thing alex and i miss the most about hong kong. selfishly, we wish they would consider moving over - we love to spend even more time with them... .... or, at least a trip?

the 2nd interesting thing is - we went to cheung chau island.... and while looking for food, we went into this little cafe for noodles - and we found they have christian stuffs everywhere - cross near the kitchen, several christian writings picture frame next to us ... and the last supper framed on the other side of the wall ---- and while we were wondering if the owner is a christian .... -- the chef happen to be taking a break and sat at the table next to us to have his late-lunch - and he was praying. That's the first time ever i saw such a scene, and i felt very warm ... very happy ... very ... very ... ?? that feels very good.
